Join us for a very special drop in event on Saturday 23rd April (12.30 – 4pm) to mark World Book Night, an annual celebration of Reading which aims to reach people who don’t regularly read for pleasure.
We have put together a wonderful selection of FREE BOOKS, mainly aimed at adults/young adults that can be taken away. We hope that once you have read the book you’ve chosen that you will then go on to share it with others.
There is also a chance to share enjoyment in reading with others in the community and inspire others to read. If you have a book that has made a big impact on you, or a story you have enjoyed and are willing to pass on, we would welcome this as a way of extending the number and variety of books on offer. HGCL is running this event in partnership with Peabody Housing Association.
Children are welcome and this event will also include a STORY-TIME FOR CHILDREN and PARENTS/CARERS by Emily Hanna – Grazebook (Tales from the Dragonfly) between 2 – 3o:30pm.
Free refreshments will be provided throughout.
We look forward to seeing you there!
